The murials of Waltham Forest (first part)

Through out the borough of Waltham Forest there are many murials. If you follow my guide to the Highams Park Sculpture Trial you would see an owl on the side of a wall opposite the sculpture of an owl.

The problem is to link them in an easy walk or bus ride,

Today I will identify the murials from The Bell, Forest Road to the top of Walthamstow Market.

From the Bell Public House walk down Chingford Road to the end of the row of shops. On the end you will see this murial.

Look across the road towards the junction with Forest Road. You will see a decorated building and a murial.

The building with the art work leads towards the left to this murial.

Walk to Forest Road and you will see this wonderfull portrait.

Cross Forest Road then cross to other side of Hoe Street, so you do not miss the decorated house in Byron Road, viewable from Hoe Street,

Keep walking up the left side of Hoe Street to see the muial that marks Browns Road.

Opposite is Ruby Road. Cross over to see a sign painted on the side of the shop that advertises a business. The sign has faded.

Continue to walk up Hoe Street. Look down Jewel Road. Before you reach the Quaker Meeting House there is a pizza restaurant with ywo pictures either side of their door.

Walk back to Hoe Street and across the road to the right you will see a picture of loving foxes. My question is the two names the foxes or the artists?

Walk up Hoe Street but look over to you right. You will see this painting on the side wall of a burger bar.

Walk up Hoe Street on the right side so you do not miss the archway leading to the Tramworks. Here is a murial of historic facts abouts trams in Walthamstow.

Cross Hoe Street via the zebra crossing and walk to the bus stops. Then look back and up. I cannot decide if the lines over these images are part of the picture or a vandalism attempt of the pictures. What do you think?W

This is the end of the walk for today. Next time I will show you the murials down the High Street
