When I was twelve years old I wanted a holiday. The family were not having one, the scouts had no up coming camp. I learnt that Scripture Union were running holidays.
So I went to one in a boarding school in Godstone. Each day you were rounded up for a service in the chapel. There was no where to hide. The walls of the chapel were over 3 foot thicked, with windows. So I came into the chapel early and climbed into one of the windows. So no one knew I was there.
That day they spoke from the verse in the Bible where it describes God knitting us in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13) and having plans for us (Jeremiah 29:11). So I decided to be a Christian because I wanted to know rather than discover how my life will turn out.
Yet my life has turned out in ways I could not expect. So though I know I am a sinner and need the santification of Christ. I have never felt great guilt about my sins, yet I do repent. For me my faith is about living life to the full.
